How often should I come in for an adjustment?
I usually recommend that you follow up once a week for a few weeks after a new injury as a minimum. This allows natural healing time between visits, and allows your uniquely individual pattern to become apparent. The duration depends on the type of condition or injury, as well as your personal vitality that powers the healing response. Some severe injuries can take much longer or temporarily need more frequent care. Since I check indicators of progress at each visit, we can tell how well you’re doing and proceed accordingly. Everyone is different so I never make blanket recommendations or schedule extensive treatment programs in advance. Once you have achieved symptomatic relief of an injury, it is beneficial to follow up with corrective care for several more visits to guide the body into overall stability and make any minor corrections needed to improve functional capacity. Severe injuries generally require a longer period of rehabilitation
